Remembering Paul Prenksy


Paul Prensky,  brilliant poet, activist, actor, playwrite, newsletter publisher, events organizer,  lover of humanity, true friend to his friends,loving father to his sons, to his daughter, brother to his brothers, son to his mother, proud grandfather, spirit-filled drummer, wearer of buttons upon buttons upon buttons, registered nurse, elder companion, accurate reader of i-ching, and so, so, so much more, passed away on March 6(?) , 2010. He will be sorely missed. Paul,  who first came to Eugene (from his beloved Deadwood) in 1984, distributing New York Egg Creams and Poetry, was one of the founders of Eugene’s Other Paper, was the producer and creator of  a play about Eugene’s Ben Linder (who died doing good in Nicargua) was most recently known locally for his many insightful letters to the editors of the Eugene Weekly and Register-Guard.  For many years Paul created a monthly Calendar of Days which he passed around month after month, year after year to his friends and acquaintances. Now that Paul has passed on, how will we know what our days mean?
